The house is of recent construction with full kitchen. A fire in the wood stove in the living room provides aesthetic value on a cool evening. Heat pump serves the house for heating and cooling. Domestic water comes from an underground spring and is UV treated for purity. The house is furnished with new and vintage furnishings. A TV with DVD player and assortment of DVD’s is located in the loft, along with board games, jig saw puzzles, cards and books. Vintage Nintendo Mario Brothers is very popular. Network TV is not provided; Internet/WiFi is provided by ZiplyFiber; data is unlimited, allowing for use of WiFi calling and messaging. Cellular service is not available at this location, but is available 2-3 miles west of the property near Highway 101. Nearby Sixes River Road provides access to Highway 101, paralleling the Sixes River as it meanders across the 23 acre parcel. With the exception of light traffic on Sixes River Road, there are few man-made disturbances. Motorized boats and other water craft are not allowed on the Sixes River; drift boats, kayaks, canoes, rafts, etc. are allowed. Aircraft are seldom heard, and heavily forested locale do not provide access for ATV or other motorized off road vehicles. Within short driving distances ATV parks, sand dune parks, surfing and wind surfing, sailing, charter boat fishing, major golf courses (Bandon Dunes, Bandon Crossings and others). The quaint seaside communities of Port Orford to the south and Bandon to the north provide shopping, restaurants and other amenities. Many other activities and attractions are available along the Wild Rivers coastline. Onsite there are many activities and sights to see. The Sixes River offers almost continuous sand and pebble beaches for your private use including fishing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, picnicking, etc. depending on, of course, weather and river conditions. This river is a pristine low flow river during summer months. During stormy winter months the Sixes can become a raging torrent of water, unsafe for any activity other than viewing from a safe distance. . Amateur astronomers can enjoy the pitch black skies overhead to view the stars and planets in the Milky Way, frequently very distinct in the night sky. Another interest for visitors is the vast number of wildlife that may wander through this property from the Grassy Knob Wilderness Area. There are eagles, osprey, hawks and other birds of prey, elk, deer, bear, cougar, raccoon, bobcat, red fox, etc. that may be seen by the fortunate visitor to Alder Springs. All are actively in search of food along the river but most frequently are difficult to see. They generally see you first, and remain hidden. Beautiful Garrison Lake property in Port Orford, OR. Lake is adjacent to the ocean so you can kayak, paddleboard, or take the small motorboat a short distance across the lake and be right on Agate beach for hours of exploring the tide pools, searching for agates and relaxation. The house is very private and nestled in between a wetlands reserve and neighboring trees. Two bedrooms and two baths with a sleeping loft as well. House comfortably sleeps 6. Everything you need is there waiting for you, just bring your clothes. The storage shed on the side has nice kayaks, paddleboards and bikes for your use. There is a great BBQ and outside patio fire pit and heater as well and a fish cleaning station in back. We have a local caretaker who is fantastic if you have any issues or questions, he is only 6 houses away. Brand new dock built in 2018 is perfect for launching the kayaks and SUPs or sitting there with a glass of wine/beer to fish for some of the best trout fishing in southern Oregon right off the dock. It is a stocked lake and the fishing is awesome! Watch the magnificent waves crash against the rocks from the ocean, it is absolutely breathtaking to see. The bathtub is viable from the bed sits in a window to enjoy the best views in the house. Heated floors, beautiful windows that reach 24 ft high, this room is the most modern and sleek room of all rooms in the house. Copper Room: this room was designed for the man of the house, my father. I opted for masculine colors copper tiles and dark granite shower. This room features its own steam room, 3 shower heads, heated floors, a big Japanese copper soaking tub, a private lanai, nice views, and king sized bed. Ivory Room: this is the master suite in my humble opinion. This room was designed for my mother with a private fireplace, claw foot tub, an expansive deck that connects to the great room deck, Cal King bed, heated floors, steam room, and sits on the main floor. Myrtle room: Sits up river and has a romantic vibe that has a cal king bed, its own private lanai, the biggest Japanese copper soaking tub one could imagine, and heated shower floors. The beach is a couple blocks up the street. Restaurants are a short walk. Tasty Kate's Bakery and Wine Shop is right next door for your espresso, pastries, lunch, wine and snack needs. There is a queen size bed and a quality futon couch that can sleep one or 2 more. Could be 4 people but definitely spacious for 2. There is no smoking allowed inside the home. We ask that you be mindful and smoke in the backyard with the door and window to the home shut.
